Job Title: Executive Director

Stepping Stone is seeking an experienced Executive Director who is well respected as a leader and has a passion for ensuring adults and youth experiencing homelessness have access to quality services. The Executive Director is responsible for developing the strategic direction in partnership with the Board of Directors and has overall strategic and operational responsibility for Stepping Stone Emergency Housing staff, programs, expansion, and achieving its organizational mission and financial objectives. The ideal candidate will be comfortable engaging in both strategic activities as well as taking a hands-on role regarding program execution and administrative issues.

The Executive Director reports to the Board of Directors and is responsible for Stepping Stone Emergency Housing’s consistent achievement of its mission and financial objectives.

Starting Compensation: $64,000-$68,000 DOQ

Program Director Position Description

Job Title: Shelter Advocate – Overnights

Status:  Full-time, nonexempt

Starting Compensation: $18.00 per hour

Purpose: Assist residents, who are experiencing homelessness, with various tasks. Folks who work overnights may have a little bit different schedule of performing tasks. More commonly, overnight shifts help folks gain access into the building from the front entrance door, monitor the men’s and women’s wings, complete data entry, and perform miscellaneous chore tasks (as needed).

Job Title: Part-Time Casual Shelter Advocate – Weekends

Status:  Part-time, nonexempt

Starting Compensation: $18.00 per hour

Purpose: This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking for occasional work and wants to do purposeful work in the community for people in need of support!

We are looking for skilled individuals who are available to work at least 2 weekend nights per month.

Weekend nights available to work:

  • Friday night into Saturday morning
  • Saturday night into Sunday morning
  • Sunday night into Monday morning
