Honored for Our Commitment to Housing Justice in Anoka County
At Stepping Stone Emergency Housing, our mission has always been rooted in compassion, dignity, and the belief that everyone deserves a safe and stable place to call home. That’s why we are incredibly honored to receive the MICAH Anoka Chapter Hero Award—an acknowledgment of our ongoing work to end homelessness in our community and advance housing justice for all.
MICAH (Metropolitan Interfaith Council on Affordable Housing) is a powerful coalition of congregations and housing advocates working across the Twin Cities metro area to promote affordable housing, racial equity, and housing justice. With a bold vision of “housing for all,” MICAH mobilizes communities of faith and conscience to speak out, take action, and hold systems accountable.
This award from the Anoka Chapter of MICAH is especially meaningful because it reflects the grassroots, community-driven spirit that defines both our organizations. Together, we know that change is possible when people come together with shared values, clear purpose, and the courage to act.
We are grateful to MICAH for their leadership and to the Anoka Chapter for standing with us in the fight to end homelessness. This recognition affirms the efforts of our staff, volunteers, donors, and community partners—people who show up every day to walk alongside those we serve.
