 “Programs to combat homelessness work, it’s the lack of funding that doesn’t.”

MinnPost article, written by Stepping Stone Executive Director Julie Jeppson, along with Emily Larson, Duluth Mayor, and Rhonda Otteson, Executive Director of Minnesota Coalition for the Homeless explains why it’s not the programs that are failing, but that they are underfunded.

Julie Jeppson told the Minnesota Coalition for the Homeless, “These organizations and service providers are walking alongside clients as they make great strides in their journey to find a home. The programs themselves are successful, and the funding made available to these programs makes a difference – but these funds can only help a finite number of people.”

Advocating for those experiencing homelessness is near and dear to Executive Director Julie Jeppson’s heart. Right now, funding is one of her top priorities.
